Tom Furnas has over forty years of business experience covering diverse industry segments including: media and entertainment, information technology, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace and defense; and diverse functional areas including: strategic planning, financial analysis; joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; human resources, knowledge management, strategic data management, business process re-engineering, Six-Sigma, information technology, and strategic technology management; with work experience ranging from a Fortune 100 company, education, non-profits, startups and family owned businesses.
Tom has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management, and a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Business Management and Political Science, minor in Economics.
Tom is active in numerous organizations including: the Turnaround Management Association (Board Member), Association for Corporate Growth, Secured Finance Network, Private Directors Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (Affiliate Member), and the Exit Planning Exchange.
Tom is a former chair and current member of the board of the Cleveland Sight Center, and a former founding board member of OneCleveland/OneCommunity (now DigitaC).
